Despite recent progress, only 40% of 3rd graders in Dallas County reach ‘on grade level' for literacy. Students who reach that benchmark are 4x more likely to graduate than peers who are less proficient readers. We have proven that high-quality, targeted intervention in the early grades can help students learn to read so they can read to learn, graduate from high school, and be prepared for whatever they choose next.
We serve together as an informed and united front to improve literacy outcomes for students.
Collaborative Planning with Districts
Coordinated Deployment of Literacy Services
The primary purpose of this collaboration is to deliver a robust and holistic literacy intervention model. Each member organization provides one component of this shared model at a high-need site.
The program staff function as a single, cohesive unit to assess data, troubleshoot, communicate, and hold one another accountable.
Partner sites will be announced Spring 2021.
We learn, reflect, and improve together to ensure programs are data-driven and high-quality.
Community of Literacy Leaders
We operate together to build capacity within each collaborating organization.
